China -Senior Infants

Children in Ms O'Kane/Ms Brodigan's Senior Infants were very interested in learning all about China in January. We discovered lots of interesting facts about The Great Wall, Panda's and where to find China on the map. The Children felt silk clothes that came from China and examined paper money and coins. They were fascinated to discover that paper money was invented in China and the Chinese people also invented paper and fireworks. We looked up what year we were born in on the Chinese calendar. It was a very enjoyable topic!
